Wow, we played fantastic tonight!!!!

Trevor set the tone early and Coleman was incredible in the second half.

What a win in a very tough place to play!!

Go Gophers!!

I can say that I enjoyed that very much.

This team has some intangibles. Everytime it looked like the tide might turn- they had an answer. Great game! Huge get right before two more brutal games.

The intangibles you are referring to:
Dre Hollins - Dre is smooth when it comes to pressure shots
Joe Coleman - The Gophers need a guy who can break down the defense by taking it to the hoop. Joe has no fear.
Offensive rebounding and hustle - between Rodney, Trevor, Austin, Elliot, and Oto and even Welch this year, these guys attack and attack some more.

This is a really fun time to be a Gopher fan! The heart and drive this team has is awesome. We play hard every game and always give it our all. I love it!

No other way to say it other than that was a BIG TIME performance tonight. I'm not usually one to spout superlatives, but that was as well as I've seen us play on the road probably since the mid to late 90s.

You don't want to get too high or too low, but this one is worth enjoying. Team showed its nerve when the Illini cut it to two. That's poise.

Underrated performance was by Austin, especially in the 2nd half. Tipped balls, loose balls, a steal and receiving and passing the ball breaking Illinois' press late in the game. I love that guy.

Our starting five have a very high basketball IQ. Shot selection, spacing, execution, knowing when to push and knowing when to slow it. All of the above have been really good this year.

No wonder I can't sleep tonight! 2:08 am and still checking every sports site in the world for the latest on my Gopher BB team!! Bring on Indiana baby!! You listening Dick Vitale? Go Gophers!

Yes! Good thread. No analysis or breakdown, just unadulterated enjoyment of a great win tonight.

Between the hockey win on Tuesday, and this, I'm riding high.

Well, beating Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in 08-09 in OT was pretty good. But we only played great in the last 5 minutes and in OT. Only other really dominant performance I'm remembering that wasn't at home was that BT Tourney game against Purdue in Indy.

I'm rewatching the game at 2:30am on BTN!

I'm with ya frog. We looked incredible tonight and have put to rest some doubters. We've got a great team, especially our starting 5. Indiana is in trouble

Is there a link for highlights anywhere? My hotel in Chicago didn't have BTN in the room (very disappointing). I went to BTN site, but there are just short clips.

Who else kept looking at ESPN to look for love for us? Damn I love this team. Have you ever seen a more quiet 22 8 and 6 on only 10 shots? That's insane. Pretty sweet when that and 19 11 are relatively overlooked because of 29 from Coleman. Nice to have such good all-around players with such chemistry.

On a random site note, my lord are we going to rely on Andre, Austin, and Joe next year. They're going to put up some monster stats, especially Andre.

It was a great game to watch and shows this team can handle pressure without folding, something that had been missing in the past. They keep this up and we may have something here.

Yeah, that game with Wisconsin was more a case of us hanging around and then stealing it at the end imo. The Purdue game was almost surreal. I really didn't know what to make of that game as I watched it. Kept waiting for Purdue to make a run in that game and I remember wondering how we would handle it. The funny thing was Purdue never made a run and we kind of ran away and hid. Last night had a different feel for me. I felt from about the 10 minute mark of the first half on that we were the better team. It was a very confident performance and I never really felt like we were in that much trouble, even as Illinois made their run in the second half.

Not only are we going to Illinois...we're going to Indiana and Northwestern and Wisconsin and Michigan State, and we're going to Iowa and Ohio State. And we're going to Nebraska and Purdue. And then we're going to Chicago to take home the Big Ten Tournament title! Yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!

Great win and a great performance by the starting 5 which scored all of the team's 84 points. Also thought Welch gave them some good minutes.

it was a great win, but let's hope the Illini can right their ship and finishing in the top 5 of the conference. If they falter and finish 9-9, it won't look so hot on selection sunday.

Dude...you could screw up a wet dream. Can you just enjoy a win for 5 minutes.

If the Illini finish 9-9 in the Big Ten, the road win will carry plenty of pop for the Gophers. A 9-9 mark in the Big Ten for the Illini would mean 21-10 overall (not including BTT) with, at minimum, wins wins over Butler (neutral court), Gonzaga (on the road), and Ohio State.

True road wins over eventual NCAA qualifiers are not easy to come by, and they're about the most important thing a team can have on its tournament resume. There's a chance the Gophers already are holding two such wins (FSU, Illinois).

Their ship just recently ran over Ohio State and Gongaza. I think we'll look just fine.

I tried to get to sleep early last night because I had an early meeting this morning, but it was tough to fall asleep after that game last night. It's fun to be excited.
