That doesn't make sense unless it's for full season wins.

Iowa 8.5 wins? Did they schedule North and South Sioux City High School again?

If I was a betting man I would definitely bet the Gophers will win more than 6 games.

Yeah I'd feel pretty good on the over for the gophs there

MSU at 7.5 is the most interesting option out there to me. I'd take the over all day.

That's the first thing that popped out at me as well, so I took a closer look at their schedule. Michigan, Wisky, and OSU all at home. Road games against Notre Dame and Penn St appear to be the only difficult road tests. They've had at least 10 regular season wins in 5 of the past 6 years. What am I missing to think they'd go 7-5? Lose all 5 of their tough games? I doubt it.

I like:

MSU over 7.5 (would have to lose all 3 of @ ND, Michigan, Ohio State, and don't see that happening).
Gophers over 6 (anything under 8 and Claeys is probably gone).
Wisconsin under 7.5 (vs. LSU, @ MSU, @ Michigan, OSU, @ Iowa. ... all in their first 7 games).

A lot of these will be close, but this is what my gut's telling me. Be interesting I am sure my money would go to the house. If you wan to win big you need to need to take a couple risks.

If the Gophs win only 6 games, this is going to be a pretty miserable season. I'd take the over on us and MSU all day.

I love how this meme started here and is just accepted as truth now. The Gophers have averaged between 5 and 6 wins a season for the past 40 years, and now the new head coach is going to be fired following one season of 7 wins? The book line is 6, so he'll be fired for outperforming the general public's expectation? This is one of the more fascinating GopherHole groupthink productions to come down the pike recently.

Hey man we've got just hordes of great coaches who want to come here.... we don't have time for one season.

If he's not undefeated after iowa and doesn't win enough to give the second stringers a good quarter and a half of practice.... he should be fired before he leaves the field.

I know OSU lost a lot of pieces, but I would be shocked if they don't get to double digit wins again this season. Anyone know what the money line is for the over?
