Interested to see what Brohm comes up with...he is very close to having a 1-8 club....or an 8-1 club...last week vs Iowa was the only game they were not in...unfortunately the game before against WI was their second worse performance...he has a lot of banged up guys and not a lot of depth...and, again, he is showing a defense with major issues

Did Tucker expose some flaws with Illini schemes? Or just an off-week in windy weather?

Boiler Up?

Need Purdue but my gut tells me they are going to get spanked and spanked badly. They flat out just aren't that great of a team. Once the season ends, we are REALLY going to regret losing to them as they are closer to a bottom of the BT team than the top.

PS this isn't the West Championship. Purdue DOES NOT control their own destiny anymore, they need help. If you want to talk about a West championship game, that one is being played 300 miles to our south.

Isn't it comical that as bad as everyone says they have been this season, both Iowa and Wisconsin have a great chance to win the West AGAIN.

If you don't think this is the Big Ten West Championship game, you have a lot more faith in Northwestern's ability to beat Illinois than I do.

Neither of those teams control their destiny either.

If Illinois wins it essentially locks up the West for them because even if they end up tied they should do well in all the tiebreakers. Don't think you can say the same if Purdue wins.

So calling it the West Championship game isn't really accurate. But for anyone outside of Illinois to win it, the reality is that Purdue has to win this game.

You're right, why was I thinking Iowa beat Illinois? Heck, I even watched the last part of that game.
Jeepers. Yes, either way, we all need Purdue. I don't have confidence they will do it, but obviously cheering for them!

I'm really interested in the upcoming Purdue-Illinois game. After seeing Michigan State beat them, I think the Illini may have some weaknesses.

They do for sure. They outgained MSU but struggled to finish in the red zone and failed to convert some critical 3rd and 4th downs -- unlike against Minnesota when they executed incredibly well in those situations. Their defense also gave up a surprising amount of yards in the run game. I wonder about their depth and whether their brand of football has worn them down a bit late in the season. I'd still pick Illinois comfortably against PSU, but I don't see them as the the physical, defensive juggernaut I saw them as a few weeks ago.

Alright Purdue did their part, what do we need to happen assuming Illinois loses to Michigan and beats Northwestern. I assume we still need some sort of 3 way tie even if we win out. Right?

If we win out, we just need Purdue to lose to either NW or Indiana

Yeah, was just thinking we could hope Indiana (or NU by some miracle) finds a way to beat them. I just don’t see it happening. That would certainly be the cleanest path to the West.

If Purdue wins the west, I will puke.

I think Minnesota beats Iowa

So I think Purdue wins division. But I hope they don’t

Not the cleanest. The only.
The only ties we can win are with teams we have beaten. If we beat Iowa and Wisconsin there are no ties with teams that we have beaten that are possible.

Thus, must win outright
Need Michigan to beat Illinois
Need Indiana or northwestern to pull one out
