Gophers 12th in passing, but Leidner second in pass efficiency! I know it's early, etc., but defensive stats are encouraging. Looking at the offensive categories, especially for individuals, we have no offense.

stats are gonna be super misleading right now especially because of who each team has played. we'll see in a few weeks. the big ten only stats are usually much more telling

Not only because of who they've played but what they've shown. I don't believe we've gotten very far into the play book on either side of the ball.

Agree with the posters that said these sats are really misleading at this point because of the variation in competition across the board. That being said we need to lose this idea that the offense has struggled because we haven't opened up the playbook. There is no magical fix coming to the offense, is there stuff they have not sown yet, of course, but our offense in week 12 is going to look very similar to the offense in week 3 from a formation and play call standpoint.

Here's a great stat:

Rank Team G Penalties PYards YPG
1 Arizona St. 2 4 20 10.00
2 Boston College 3 5 45 15.00
3 Minnesota 3 7 52 17.33

Third least penalized team in the nation...
