Excellent Showing by the Gophers. Big Ten players drafted:

Ohio State - 5
Minnesota - 4 (in 1st five rounds)
Mich. State - 4
Nebraska - 3
Hogeyes - 3
Penn St - 3
Michigan - 3
Skunks - 2
Northwestern - 2
Maryland - 2
Rutgers - 2
Purdue - 1
Indiana - 1
Illinois - 0

Definitely cool to see. All the more impressive that we can even reasonably expect an improved team this year.

Great to see. Unfortunately the flip side is that we lost four NFL draft worthy players who will be missed. Hopefully Kill keeps coaching our guys up and we become a fixture on the top half of that list. I'm thinking that with the way the future of our offensive line is looking we will be.

The really fun part is the fact that we lose guys to the draft and get/are getting better. We've seen what this staff can do with 2-3 star type recruits, I can't wait to see what they can do with 3-4 star type recruits.

Yes, very good showing in the draft; should help with current and future recruiting. Another interesting fact: the team that beat the Gophers in the bowl, Missouri, had 6 draftees including one first rounder and three second rounders. We knew that we played a very good team but maybe it was a little better than some of us thought.

I think the part in bold fits the defense as they should be able to replace Wilson and Thompson, I'm not sold yet that it will be quite as easy to replace Maxx and Cobb on offense. Those two were directly responsible for the vast majority of our yardage on offense last season and are leaving behind some massive shoes to fill.
