Springing from its most encouraging postseason in a dozen years, the Big Ten must take this opportunity to make inroads in the one area that can sustain its sudden success – recruiting. Otherwise, 2014 will simply be a fleeting blip on the college football screen.

And with both starting Super Bowl quarterbacks produced by the Big Ten, it's a great chance for the conference to market itself against the Southeastern Conference with one specific statement to elite high school QB candidates:

We can make you a good NFL quarterback. The SEC can't.
 

Wilson played three years at and has his degree from NC State. I want to barf every time he gives his school as Wisconsin. He was there as a one semester mercenary.
