Here is the amount of times that B1G schools turn up as Homecoming Opponents:

Illinois - 4 (Michigan, Nebraska, Rutgers, Wisconsin)
Northwestern - 2 (Iowa, Michigan St.)
Rutgers - 2 (Minnesota, Ohio St.)
Indiana - 1 (Northwestern)
Iowa - 1 (Purdue)
Maryland - 1 (Penn St.)
Minnesota - 1 (Illinois)
Nebraska -1 (Indiana)
Purdue - 1 (Maryland)

Illinois' is due to having 3 road games in October, plus Wisconsin not choosing either of their October home games (Ohio St. & Nebraska) for HC.

I know this is supposed to be a note of disrespect, but in the Iowa/NW game I would guess Ferentz wants to play NW with all of the crowd noise and homecoming advantages he can get. I would not schedule NW as a push over.
