Who does everyone think will go All Freshman this year?

Based mostly on where they were ranked as recruits, I'd say:

Diamond Stone (Maryland)
Jalen Coleman-Lands (Illinois)
Deyonta Davis (Michigan State)
JaQuan Lyle (Ohio State)
Caleb Swanigan (Purdue)

Or maybe Thomas Bryant of Indiana somewhere in there as well. I think those are all the 5-stars the conference brought in this year, and 4 of those 6 are big men, so I'd guess the all-freshman team will only contain 2 of Stone, Swanigan, Davis, and Bryant. Man Purdue could have one of the best front courts in the country with Haas, Hammons, and Swanigan.

Does the Big Ten usually bring in this much talent in any given year, or is this year better than most, as far as incoming freshmen?

Off the top of my head I was thinking Bryant, Swanigan, Stone and Lyle I know that's frontcourt heavy, but I don't think they care about the best starting five when doing these awards. Stone could very well be first team Big Ten. I was leaning Davis. Penn State seems to get a four year stud every four years, Battle, Frazier, Newbill etc. I am sure they'll have a freshman guard that puts up good numbers. maybe McBrayer or Dorsey will come on this year and sneak in who knows. I like Murphy, but there's a log jam of incoming bigs this year

Lyle should put up some good numbers for OSU this year, probably a good guess for the all-frosh team. He is one of just 3 guards they have on the team, and appears to be the most skilled of the 3, so he is expected to start and play a ton of minutes. OSU's other freshmen aren't ready to make major contributions this season.

Happ, Thomas and Iverson will all be major contributors for the Badgers. Pritzl may be as well if the foot is healed.

Would be shocked if Happ is not on the all freshman team.

recruits

I'd say slightly higher. 3 McDonalds all Americans. Purdue has 3 true post players. Not sure how any 2 of them will do together as can any of them hit a 10' shot? Surprise Swanigan chose Purdue with their posts. He could have played next to an athletic player in Davis and he could have been option 1 in the post.
