Make no mistake, Minnesota has a tough act to follow after submitting their best season in the last half-century of the program. However, P.J. Fleck returns a large core of an offense that was impressive, including two studs in quarterback Tanner Morgan and wide receiver Rashod Bateman. On that side of the ball, the Golden Gophers should be dangerous again.

Their success in the 2020 season, or at least the level of it, hinges on the defense. Minnesota will have to replace some key contributors from a unit that was sneaky great for them last season but, if they can be solid while the offense progresses a bit with Morgan maturing, don’t sleep on this team winning the Big Ten West.

I’d trade Maryland and Nebraska

Maryland goes 2-10 at best this year. If the over under was 1.5 and I had to take the best I’d bet the under.
And they’ll probably beat Towson in the opener 70-0.

They have the worst coach in all of college football.

I will say, Maryland has had some interesting P5 non-conf wins the last few seasons. Beat Texas twice, and crushed Syracuse. But also lost to Temple the last two years.

They have some talent. It’s just a matter of how long they hold it together before their horrible football culture crashes around them.

Last tear they were 2-0 had won 142-20 in the first two games and we’re ranked.

Finished 1-9 Losing 393-167 And that score included a 48-7 win against Rutgers. The 9 they lost they lost 386-119

Those 9 losses they lost on average 43-13

adding this. I walked into a sports bar several years ago on Football Saturday ... it was one of those bars that the Nebraska fans decide is their meeting place to watch their game. These fans were the most arrogant and obnoxious fans I've ever witnessed...even beyond Iowa and Wisconsin fans. They got their rears kicked that day. The Gophers were playing an away game and we won. The Nebraska fans booed whenever the Gophers scored. F Nebraska .
