11/9 PENN STATE
11/16 at Iowa
11/23 at Northwestern
11/30 WISCONSIN

Tough to project how teams will look at that time but right now on paper those are pretty favorable looking conference schedules.

I'm pretty thrilled to be ending the season with Wisconsin, that's how it should be.

Indiana will finally make its TCF Bank Stadium debut on October 27, 2018....exactly 3,333 days from the stadium's Opening Night.

Seriously, that 2019 schedule is awesome.

Also, looks like Piscataway is on the road trip agenda, finally!

We need 1 game in 2017, 2 in 2018, and 1 in 2019. May be more if Some of the FCS games are bought out.

Who would you like to see in these games?

North Carolina?

With a home/home with Oregon State scheduled for 2017/2018, you would think we won't schedule another major-conference opponent those years. If the South Dakota State game stays on the 2019 slate, along with the trip to Miami-Ohio, the assumption would be a home game against a major conference team that year.

Glad to see ending with Wisconsin continuing, just feels right. Also finally an IU home game for the first time in forever.

Seriously though 2019...so impossible to project, but just based on recent history and all that, we need to be ready to make a run that year cause that schedule on the surface appears to be one that can lead to one of those 10 win type seasons if we're up and stable.

So for those of you scoring at home, here are our East opponents from 2014-2019

2014- @ Michigan, Ohio State
2015- Michigan, @ Ohio State
2016- @ Penn State, @ Maryland, Rutgers
2017- Maryland, Michigan State, @ Michigan
2018- @ Maryland, @ Ohio State, Indiana
2019- @ Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State

Times Played
Michigan: 3 (1 home, 2 away)
Ohio State: 3 (1 home, 2 away)
Penn State: 2 (1 home, 1 away)
Maryland: 4 (2 home, 2 away)
Rutgers: 2 (1 home, 1 away)
Michigan State: 1 (home)
Indiana: 1 (home)

We're playing Maryland four years in a row why?

2019 will be a AAA championship if none of our best players get called up before the end of the season.

3333 = 3 * 11 * 101.

The significance of 11 is obvious, it refers to a football team, as there are 11 members of the team on the field. 101 refers to the basics of football, just as Math 101 is a basic math course. 3333 has four digits, referring to the four quarters of a football game. The significance of the number 3 is threefold: it refers to 3 and out; it refers to third down, it refers to the number of points in a field goal.

Thus, we can see from this game that the Minnesota Gophers will play good, solid football through four quarters, holding Indiana to 3 and out, while the Gophers do well on offense on third down. While the Gophers score touchdowns, Indiana must settle for field goals.

Thus ends the crackpot numerology.

Also, between 2009-2019, a span of 11 seasons, we play Indiana twice....or one fewer than the number times we play Middle Tennessee State.

The Indiana thing isn't that abnormal. Because they also have Purdue locked in, that leaves them with only rotating 2 Western games every year. Do the math and we can expect to play Indiana every 3 years, as opposed to the "almost every other year" with the rest of the East.

An expected scheduling group for a guy that plays here four years would look something like:

Year 1- Ohio State, @ Rutgers, @ Michigan State
Year 2- @ Penn State, Michigan, Maryland
Year 3- @ Maryland, Penn State, @ Indiana
Year 4- Rutgers, @ Ohio State, Michigan State

That would allow us to play almost everyone in the East twice, except Indiana which we'd play once (and in this case Michigan once, due to parity scheduling). This is how it should break down most cycles.

Also, between 2009-2019, a span of 11 seasons, we play Indiana twice....or one fewer than the number times we play Middle Tennessee State.

Also, 1 fewer than New Mexico State; equal to South Dakota State; ONLY 2 FEWER THAN North Carolina and any other decent program in the country.

If the Big Ten expands again, I wonder if they will add the teams to the East, so Indiana can move to the West. This would put an end to protected games.

I think it's a given that if the B1G expands they're interested in a team in the ACC that they would add to the East and push Indiana over. UNC was clearly their main target but I don't see them moving with the additions the ACC has made in basketball, and the locked in rights deal that now exists in the ACC.

My God.... he's right.

The 11 could also represent the number of teams in the B1G the last time we played Indiana.

The only possible error in your math is if you are talking about classes at the U as the U uses a 4 digit (1001) numbering scheme for its classes. But because we are at Indiana who uses a 3digit system, the math looks good.

I'd say something about the 2018-19 schedules, but it won't mean anything because I will probably be dead by then, so screw it, let's have :drink: :drink: :drink:

Hope not Dr. Don, we all might be gone, cheers.
