You don’t want to be like SEC fans and act like it’s your own team winning.I’m glad Notre Dame lost but I’m not going to celebrate an Ohio State victory.
Yes I have always hated the whole conference pride thing. Obviously SEC people are the most obnoxious about it but I hate most of the teams in the B1G, I can't just start rooting for them when bowl season comes around. You don’t want to be like SEC fans and act like it’s your own team winning.
That whole thing had a "my cousin has a huge dick" vibe.Yes I have always hated the whole conference pride thing. Obviously SEC people are the most obnoxious about it but I hate most of the teams in the B1G, I can't just start rooting for them when bowl season comes around.
Definitely better than those two. I don't have a deep hatred for OSU, but I probably would if I knew more of their fans. That whole thing had a "my cousin has a huge dick" vibe.
Like what you bragging about?
I don't mind Ohio St. winning, better than Michigan ... Notre Dame ... it's fine.
My interactions with tOSU fans has always been good. Michigan ... not so much.Definitely better than those two. I don't have a deep hatred for OSU, but I probably would if I knew more of their fans.
I think the Buckeyes beat themselves in the Regular Season Finale against Michigan.Ohio St beat 6 out of the top 8 teams in the final rankings. The only two teams they didn’t beat were Georgia and themselves.
That game felt like "oh no we can't do X, Y, Z so let's just do A, B, C and be safe". Some days are like that, that's a real thing ... but tOSU is more capable.I think the Buckeyes beat themselves in the Regular Season Finale against Michigan.
I don't know a ton of Oregon fans myself, but people I know who know Oregon fans would say they are at that point.Chances are any school that wins the whole thing will have a big share of insufferable fans. Maybe Oregon fans aren't at that point yet. I'm happy a B1G team has won the last two.
To me they are like the Vikings of CFB. Good enough to win it all, but find ways to choke when the stage is big. I don't think Ducks fans should feel too high and mighty about Ducks football at this point if what you say is true.I don't know a ton of Oregon fans myself, but people I know who know Oregon fans would say they are at that point.
It's random luck. I have had the opposite experience between the two fan groups. I tend to think that the vast majority of fans are just fun loving people, but every fan group has some assholes, including the Gophers, who make it bad.My interactions with tOSU fans has always been good. Michigan ... not so much.
Could be random luck, but just how it has gone for me.
They are known to have a large portion of bandwagon fans due to the flashy uniforms, exciting play style, and relative recency of their success. The Vikings have been largely successful for a long time and have a passionate devoted fan base, so i think your comparison is partially accurate but not dead on.To me they are like the Vikings of CFB. Good enough to win it all, but find ways to choke when the stage is big. I don't think Ducks fans should feel too high and mighty about Ducks football at this point if what you say is true.

As the great philosopher Evan Dando says:NAME NAMES!!!
