In the BIG conference tourney, all games are to be considered away games. Clearly, IU has shown the best ability to win on the road. I'm picking IU versus MSU in the final.

IU 7-2
OSU 5-4
Wisky 5-4
MSU 5-4
M 4-5
Illini 3-6
PU 3-6
NU 2-7
Iowa 2-7
MN 1-8
Neb 1-8
PSU 1-8

I think they'll all be neutral games for every team, which is significant when talking RPI calculations.

If someone has time / interest, I'd like to know the last time a Big Ten team that went to the NCAA tournament won only 1 (or 0) conference road game.

I think I recall a two road win team maybe two years ago.. but not sure when the last 0 or 1 road win team was.. the claim that it's especially difficult to win on the road in the Big Ten is often claimed, but not true. Can't think there'd be many instances of 0 or 1 road winners......

They are neutral games and MN has done quite well in neutral/tourney games over the entire Tubby tenure. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Illinois.

I don't know if it was the LAST time a Big Ten team with only 1 road win made it to the NCAA tourney, but 1989 Gophers not only made it, but got to the Sweet 16.

True. We did benefit greatly by Sienna (14) upsetting Stanford (3) in the first round. Nice win in the first round though, defeating Kansas St., a 6 seed.

Nothing saying that we wouldn't have upset Stanford if Siena hadn't. I mean, apparently they weren't good enough to beat Siena, at least that day, and well, we were. But you never know?

That's why it is the greatest sporting event in the world.
