The new OC is going to be announced Monday. (Cut & Paste from the Star Tribune) "There might be one more interview after Fitch before Brewster ultimately announces his decision Monday."
 


That is from the 16th. Are you sure that is the big announcement?
 



To see people do exactly what you are doing now. I personally think it's dumb but whatever. We will see on monday, no big deal.

we interviewed 3 candidates that would be much better and we don't need an ECU coach. We need big time program coaches.

Other than Heupel (sp?) and Applewhite, who both apparently turned us down, who else have we interviewed from a big name program? Just curious as I haven't heard any other names.
Don't know if Fitch would be good or not but not concerned where they come from - just want the guy with the most talent.

That's right, forgot about Brewer. I'd be OK with him, too. Don't think the other 2 are interested in coming here, though (unfortunately).
 

No chance of Brewer now either. Took his name out of consideration. Looks like Fitch or Horton.
 

Brewster will bring in the best OC possible that will meld into the situation. What experienced and successful OC would take a job description that would limit his authority? I hope Coach Davis is the man and excels as his status in this process has limited Brewster's ability to bring in a killer shot hire.

But Brewster created the situation and now he must live with it. Maybe it won't matter.
 


I would be in favor of a surprise choice over some of the so called "finalists"
 

I am telling you, its going to be Shannahan :) If not then I think Fitch would be a fine hire. Apparently at ECU he ran an offense that sounds exactly like we want to do here. A spread with the option to line up under center and pound the ball.
