With nine straight losses and no wins in conference (assuming a final loss in Baton Rouge). How does this go down with Hog fans?

There are two schools of thought. He is trying to change Arkansas into a pro set power running team. That takes time. But on the other side, There neighbors are all seeing success. Missouri, Texas AM, LSU, Mississippi. And as bad as it has gone at Tennessee, I think they are ahead of the Hogs. The natives are restless, but not to the point of firing up the Fire Bielema.com

As much as I dislike butt-head, I really hope he turns it around down there because that would tick off badger fans.

I wonder what Bielema thinks of Badger fans since they have been harassing his wife on twitter. Some of the things they tweet to her are definitely over the line.

Arkansas has no pro sports. All their fanaticism is focused on Razorback football and basketball. Imagine if all the enthusiasm for the Vikings, Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, Gopher hockey, Gopher women's hockey, and Lynx was focused on Gophers football. Now imagine your only team was 3-9. Would you expect patience from your fellow fans? The difference between living in a college-only market and a pro market like ours cannot be overstated.

Good ole porky pig bret bielema is setting records right and left down south! Longest losing streak in school history set yesterday! Next week, 1st season in school history going WINLESS in the conference! 0 fer! Too bad he left, would have finally won this year with that tard at the helm.

It always has been, was under BB, and will be alvarez's show in Madison.
He's kept the program stable and successful since he got there.
Bert was never more than a dumb bully running a program that just needed to not be messed with, he'll fail epically down south and wisky will remain competitive as long as Alvarez wants to keep working.

I agree - the "double B" is in over his head - he had a good gig under alveraz

Here's to hoping he wins a few national championships at Arkansas!

Nothing would be worse for the Badger fans...

That @#+* owned us.

Glad he's gone.

Wish he couldn't retire undefeated against the University of Minnesota.

There aren't many coaches out there that could have taken Arkansas to a much better record than 3-9. After last year's debacle with Jonelle Smith, everyone knew it was going to be a rough year. A lot of our problems go back to Petrino's lack of recruiting. He didn't put much emphasis on it and developed the players when they got on campus. Yes, it takes a different breed of athletes to run the pro style vs. a Bobby Petrino offense. After the motorcycle incident, the failed Jonelle experiment and the impact it had on recruiting, the people that know football (not the Bubba's that cook meth and sleep with their cousin) realize it will be painful to watch the next couple of years.

He'll continue to disapppoint as time goes by. He's a non-character guy who's never rebuilt a program. You'll be looking for another leader within 2 years. Best of luck. I have liked Arkansas minus Bert.

Has he ever had the opportunity to rebuild a program?? Just not understanding what you are basing this on.

No but the poster never claimed he failed to rebuild a program he simply stated that he had never rebuilt a program. What's so difficult to understand?

Let's get him on the OOC schedule. I would love to see more B1G/SEC matchups, and playing Butthead would get me more excited for a non-conference, non-bowl game than I have been in quite a while.

Problem is the SEC generally will only schedule OOC B1G games with the bigger boys of the conference and more recently it seems only in those season kickoff contests at neutral sites that are driven by those stadiums themselves and TV networks. What do those TV networks and the stadiums like JerryWorld want? The more popular teams in the conference...basically not Arkansas and Minnesota.
