Now you're talking! Hell Yes!!!
Exactly! I have two thoughts that will never happen. Flat tax, low income exemption, everybody in. No exemptions After that. The other, universal service. Two years, military, peace corps, what have you. Meet your fellow man.

And if you want to discuss over-taxation, since you and howie seem so keen on that, let’s do a flat federal tax rate. Based on your comments, you should be against any progressive income tax.

You just want to punish high tax left leaning states, its nothing more than that.

A flat federal tax would be a huge benefit to the blue states that pay most of the federal taxes.

Oh dear, you are going to try and discuss economics with Wally? Good luck with that.

I believe wealth and power should be acquired by merit and not thru inheritance.

Yea. My economics is evil...

Taxpayers of states that pay the most now would pay a lower amount under a flat tax, yes. So how is me favoring a flat tax wanting “to punish high tax left leaning states”?

It seems to me that blue state governors are doing a damn good job of punishing their taxpayers.

You aren’t smart.

After all of your posts, you favor a flat tax. LMAO
When you are talking with SPG, you better discuss the "rate" of the flat tax he wants and then does he want to add additional entitlements.... But, indeed it is surprising to hear this and encouraging.

I also agree with you on universal service! Unfortunately the family structure got broken and with it personal responsibility and accountability went with it. We may need this idea to break that chain. Obviously those drafted into this would have to be sorted. There are a lot of gang members that you cannot allow to have weapons. No video games allowed for 2 years.

The first massive Covid stimulus signed by Thy Dear Leader was OK. Waiting to see.

The second one signed by the Communist Marxist in Chief is Socialism.

Mr. Principles of Granite.
Lying about what I said again. I opposed Trumps covid stimulus. The only acceptable bill would be cutting a check to every American. Nothing would have been better.

never said any of that.

It's almost always "wait and see" when it comes to the right wing. Anything to avoid criticism of his right wing heroes.

You're making a bs argument because you know a flat tax will never happen. In the meantime you want to punish higher tax states.

Whether it happens or not, what I said is true. But I would be happier than hell for a flat tax.

Howie logic.

Explain to me why KGF is arguing for higher taxes?

It's obviously just a petty political agenda and completely disingenuous. He wants to hurt left leaning states to try to make his philosophy look better than it is.

One minute they want people to pay their fair share, then the next minute they want everyone to pay the same rate.

You can't fix stupid. You literally can't.

Biden has saved our democracy for a year now. Quite the accomplishment, but the fight isn’t over. The foundation of our democracy is being threatened and we could lose our democracy at any moment. This is like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor - we have to fight for our democracy.

Nonsense. I‘m for lower federal taxes and lower state taxes. But offering bigger deductions to high tax state individuals is a trick to advantage high income earners in high tax states at the expense of low tax state individuals.

A trick?
T'he high income earners in high tax states already subsidize all the low tax states.

One way is the low tax state leaches shift their welfare burden to the federal government with sky high social security disability cases.

It happens in everything else to.
Federal dollars in almost every instance flow from high tax wealthy prosperous states to low tax, low investment states being propped up. They would be third world failures on their own.

I disagree. Most states with large metro areas, D or R, have a far higher number and rate of high income earners b/c they are the center of commerce, which is also the center of other employment that has higher than average incomes.

Since we are taxed on income brackets, naturally those large metro areas are going to have individuals paying the most federal taxes. The allocation of federal funds isn’t based on how much a state’s taxpayers pay in, nor should it be. In fact, Dems that very much want programs for low income earners push for entitlements, such as Obamacare subsidies, welfare, Medicaid, food stamps, etc. So they are very much responsible for the disproportionate allocation of federal funds to states with lower average incomes.

Dems can’t have it both ways, complain about the disproportionate allocation of funds to lower income states while simultaneously saying the wealthy aren’t paying their fair share and we need to provide more entitlements to low incomes. These concepts are in direct contradiction to one another.
@Wally

I’ve been over this with you yesterday. I’m not going to. repeat myself b/c you can’t comprehend it. But try again by reading the above.
