I haven't seen a betting line yet but if it's anything high AT ALL, I'll be betting the UNDER like crazy for Saturday's game.

I don't see the Orange putting up a lot of points against the Rodent defense, especially with a QB who has never taken a snap in a college game. And quite frankly, particularly since it'll be the first game with the new OC and new scheme, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Gophers come out a little out of sync as well.

Here's hoping for an O/U that's at least in the high 50's, if not 60's. The Gophers could win this one 20-6...

It's at 47 right now

If it was 50's I like your idea, but I'm thinking at 47 you could still go under.

With 2 new offenses it could be ugly. Even though neither D is incredible, I like the under in early season games.

The basics like Weber to Decker should be a sufficient threat to open up other opportunities. Hopefully, we'll be able to stick a fork into this one, and put it out of reach as early as possible.

A brand new QB being good in practice where you wear the "don't hit me" jersey is one thing, doing it against real competition is another. Any QB would be rusty in their first game.

Most people are thinking the same as you. Opened at 48.5 and now down to 47

Nonsense! It's the over...all the way. As I've posted elsewhere Minnesota's offensive size, speed and experience will absolutely kill an undersized defensive front 7. The Syracuse line has a great nose tackle but after that they average less than 255 lbs. This is small even by old Minnesota standards. On top of that the linebackers are small and inexperienced. Minnesota could beat the spread by itself.

I think a missed point is that we basically ran this offense in last year's bowl game and that might be a good experience factor.

If our offense doesn't really rock and roll in this game it may be a long season.
