Better or Worse Way to Lose?

Better way to lose I guess, though neither would be fun. At least in this instance it was a flukey occurrence and some bad non calls (block in the back at 50 second mark and illegal participation by #11 coming on the field during the play and without his helmet) to console you somewhat. If the Gophers loss was just like Leidner throwing a pick or them getting stopped 3 times from the 1/2 yard line it would be easier to take....just watching that clock tick down from 19 was so brutal to watch. So much more was in their control and they just gave it away.

Thanks for posting this, I actually hadn't seen it yet.

I would rather lose on a fluke than lose because the coach the school is likely keeping can't manage a clock.

The fluke doesn't stick with you for 3-5 seasons. The bad clock manager might.

I say it is a better way to lose because the game is in the hands of the players. For all the preparation that goes in to a game, you need players with determination and on field awareness to play the game. Miami's players wanted the win and played that way.
