Best week of Gopher Basketball

This has to be the best week (excluding Big Ten Tourney) of Gopher's basketball this year! It's not often you get to watch 4 Gopher basketball games in one week. Not to mention the games are against good teams. Pretty exciting for week 2 of the season. 3 wins this week and I will be happy.
 

do we get to watch them? i thought the games in PR are not on tv.

Siena - ESPN U

PR Tourney
Western Kentucky - ESPN 3.com (this might be the only game you can't watch, if you have comcast internet you are fine)
North Carolina - ESPN U
TBD - ESPN 2 or ESPN U
 

Everytime I see someone penciling us in against North Carolina I get nervous. Western Kentucky is far from a sure thing, espeically without Devoe.
 



Agreed. And while we may lack big names, Wofford, Sienna and Western Kentucky is not an easy way to start the season.
 

The Gophers will beat Western Kentucky by 15+. This isn't the same gopher team of the early 2000's. This team is legit. The western Kentucky win is a sure thing when you have the players that we do. Period.

Sometimes people give too much credit to those "mid-majors" especially when they have made runs in the tourney. Beating Woffard at home was not a signature win. It would have gone in the bad loss column if we would have lost. Same with Siena and Western Kentucky.

Have some faith in your squad!
 

WKU just shelled St. Joseph's at St. Joe's last week by 30.

They are a legit squad. Period.

Whether I agree with you on this particular game or not, it is refreshing to see (read) this attitude.

I don't question that we will win and I don't know just how bad St. Joe's may be, but any team that can lay out an A-10 team like that should not be taken lightly. Your post smacks of unfounded arrogance. We're a team playing a lot of young/new players who's missing our probable leading scorer. Back the truck up a bit.

Also, I haven't seen anyone call the Wofford game a signature win unless you count the slight hyperbole by the kid doing the internet broadcast. Even he never used those words, only called it 'resume-building' which was far more true for Wofford then the Gophs.
