Season one at TCF Bank Stadium is in the books. I for one enjoyed going to games there immensely - win or lose (or SDSU). Those of you who attended at least one game there this season - what was your favorite memory from being there?

Mine had to be getting to my seats for the first time (R1 in Sec 219!) at the Air Force game, and just taking it all in. It felt so good to be outside, the weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Once the pregame stuff started, that put it over the top. The flyover (almost missed it), the emotional intros of past greats or their living family members, that dude belting out the National Anthem (awesome - wish they were always like that) and the team taking the field for the first time brought a tear to my eye. Fantastic memories for the rest of my life.

What say you all?

It seemed like every game there was a play that was AWESOME. Decker's TD catch, the block punt, the blocked field goal, etc ...

I also enjoyed the fans around me.

1. 4th quarter against MSU
2. Victory walk before Air Force
3. The August scrimmage when I walked inside for the first time
4. The fumble return against Air Force
5. Decker's catch against cal
6. The blocked FG against Purdue
7. The fumble return against Wisconsin

Triplett's fumble recovery for a TD against Air Force.......

Gray's catch on the trick play from Decker against Cal.......

The blocked FG for a TD against Purdue.......

Fumble recovery for a TD against Wisconsin.......

Bennet's catch off of T/A for a TD against Michigan State.......

Only got to attend the Syracuse game...some great Deck highpoints there...

but my best TCFB TV moment was BTN's Air Force game call: "Nate Triplet to the house!"

Electric, fabulous in those all-gold uni's.

My nine year old screaming, "That's another Wisconsin Badgers, First Down!!", the entire second half as Clay marched up and down the field.

Before the Air Force game, when Bud Grant started to choke up, man that was a special night.

1. The first pre-game Rouser of the Air Force game
2. The first time they ran the pre-game video clip at the Air Force game
3. Triplett's fumble return during the Air Force game
4. That "feeling" I got when it appeared the crowd was willing the Gophers back into the Cal game (even though we were let down in the 4th QTR)

My nine year old screaming, "That's another Wisconsin Badgers, First Down!!", the entire second half as Clay marched up and down the field.

I thought it was, "OK Daddy, I'll yell what you want me to, just don't hurt me again....."

Top 5 for me:
1. I sit close enough to berate the officials and boy howdy, did the side judge get an earful against MSU.
2. Pregame introductions of Gopher Greats against Air Force
3. Fireworks after Air Force
4. Goal Line Stand against MSU
5. Decker's TD pass to Gray against Cal

Awesome question.

Same for me as a lot of people:

1) The on-field pregame show before the Air Force game.
2) The stadium FULL OF GOPHER FANS for the Wisconsin game.
3) Sitting next to Nate Triplett's grandparents all season - especially during the Air Force and Cal games.
4) The repeated "response" from the Gophers offense at the MSU game... everytime it looked like the Spartans were taking momentum, the Gophers took it right back.
5) Blocked field goal for a TD against Purdue.

Freezing my A$$ off at the Purdue game.
But, not leaving until the game was over.

Wow! There is hope for all guys of any type getting a girl. :D

Halloween night for MSU. Clear calm night, cold in the air.....the fireworks. Crazy game, especially the 4th quarter. We win! I long for more night games like that.

1. Getting my dad to our seats for the Cal. game. He wasn't able to go to any last year and didn't know about this year. Pretty emotional stuff.

2. The Bennett catch-run against MSU.

3. Triplett's td against Air Force.

4. The Decker catch and early goings-on of the Cal. game. Perfect day minus the end result.

5. The guy in front of me tripping the Badger idiot when he was being an idiot.

The Air Force-Cal.-Wisc.-MSU games all had awesome atmosphere imo. The Purdue and Illinois games really lacked that energy imo. The So. Dakota State game sucked big time = no atmosphere at all.

Can't say enough about the whole pre-game to post game atmosphere for that Air Force game. Won't ever forget it. If the team posts enough wins to get the bazillion MN band wagon jumpers on board... we can look forward to that electricity every Saturday in the future.

Also have said over and over that the Cal loss was the most fun I have ever had at a Gopher loss. The roar that went up as the tieing touchdown was scored was quite moving and the "big game" atmosphere was again a hint at what the future can become.

1 -- Watching Air Force make one mistake, and Triplet rumbling 52 yards while the Gopher sideline went nuts!

2 -- Going from being down 14 just 8 minutes into the Cal game and thinking about just trying to enjoy being outside and watching Gopher football, to being tied going into the fourth quarter. Still tied with about 10 mins to go and thinking that we might just get lucky because we were hanging around with a top 10 ranked team.

3 -- The one drive late in the game when Michigan State was on offense, and had to deal with crowd noise on every down the entire drive because the crowd was upset with the officiating. The D players were swinging their arms asking for noise before every snap and the crowd was on their feet and delivered. I think they may have gotten a field goal, but they were still down by a point and didn't score again. I wish the crowd would come alive like that more often (but not need all the flags to get to that point).

4 -- Rushing for 207 yards vs Purdue, and heading into the 4th quarter with a 22 point lead. Blocking the field goal was pretty cool too.

A fat Wisconsin fan in my section getting himself wedged so tightly into his seat that his ass threatened to yank the thing free of its moorings when he tried to lurch himself forward.

God speed my corpulent friend, a flight of pork rinds sing thee to thy rest.

I will NEVER forget the Air Force game and the atmosphere there and around campus. Still get chills looking at that panorama... The WHOLE student section filled to the top with gold... beautiful

Wow - Now this is a great thread; even welcome some input from one of our rivals. It was the real deal this season.

The AF game and pre-game festivities were fantastic. Of course, Triplet's run-back was the game breaker that brought down the house. What a great night!

After a slow first quarter, the block field goal against Purdue was great as well.

While I gave my tickets to the folks for the Cal game, I met them for breakfast on Campus and planned to watch the game at the MacNamara Center and loiter around the patio at TCFB. Before I knew it, someone offered to sell a single and I ended up in the front row! Went for dinner at the Big Ten - what a day. That evening, I saw some Golden Bear fans at the Oktoberfest celebration in Northeast. These Cal alums/fans read about it on the Internet and had to check it out. They enjoyed the day in Minnesota and this is the kind of inter-sectional experiences I was always looking forward to in showing off our great campus and University.

The MSU game was fantastic too. Did anyone sit back and enjoy the full moon! After parking nearly a mile away from the stadium, I showed up two minutes late - we were already up by 14! DB's awesome catch down the stretch was over the top.

While we didn't win the Illinois game, I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend a great fall Saturday than with a friend of mine who drove up from Rochester to join me. We stopped by Sally's for a beer and ran into a few more mutual acquaintances.

I hope the community of the new House is as important as the main event; in part, that was the point - right?

The Air Force-Cal.-Wisc.-MSU games all had awesome atmosphere imo. .

Agree. I remember feeling that the atmosphere at the AF (which I did not attend), Cal, and MSU games rivaled those that we've seen at places like Autzen stadium or some of the Thursday night tilts on ESPN.

Next year should be great if we remain competitive. USC, Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa!
