You will get free beers all night in any bar with this trivia question. Don't cheat and DO NOT use your computer. There are 119 FBS college football teams. Only 13 nicknames DO NOT end in the letter "S", I.E. Gophers...Name the 13.... Good luck, the last two are tuff.

4. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
5. Alabama Crimson Tide
6. NC State Wolfpack
7. Tulane Green Wave
8. Navy Midshipmen
 

excellent start joe dirt. Without internet acess, all 13 is almost impossible, but great start!
 

There are actually 120 FBS teams. Western Kentucky was added in 2009.

This is pretty hard. I'm sure I'm missing a couple obvious ones, but I know that there are probably teams I forgot even existed!

What can I say, I LOVE college football. This last one is absolutely killing me, right now i'm trying to go through my head and name every team in every conference to see what I missed...
 



The missing team is obvious. The BISON! Wait, what. They aren't even an FBS team? My mistake.

I'm racking my brain too. I'd never have gotten the Mean Green.
 

Someone better figure out the missing team soon because the suspense is making me want to cheat...
 

Isn't north texas state the "Rough and ready"? And is Tulsa FBS? I am an old fart so *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# changes.
 

I'm trying to think of a team that used to be Indians or some variation and moved on to "The Wind" or "Magic" or something like that.
 



Ark State used to be the Indians and they are now the Red Wolves. UL-Monroe used to be the Warriors and are now the WarHawks.

North Texas dropped the "State" from their name in the 90's. Used to be the Eagles and switched to the Mean Green after their most famous alumni Joe Green. Tulsa plays in the C-USA.
 

I give up, i'm going to cheat. Someone else can go crazy trying to figure it out.

ahhhh you're killing me! I just looked through Athlon's preview mag 3 times and counted only 12 so it looks like I win.
