For the third time this cycle, the Minnesota Golden Gophers football program has suffered a decommitment from their 2026 recruiting class. On Monday, Lehi (UT) three-star offensive tackle Mataalii Benjamin announced his decommitment from the Golden Gophers.

Benjamin originally committed to Minnesota in early June following an official visit to the Twin Cities.

That's my thinking as well.

We're headed right back to getting a few 3 star recruits, lots of 2 stars, and some unranked dudes that we'll "COACH UP because they want to be here" lol.

I would if I was him. Almost any offensive line to play behind would be better than this place.

At this point I'd like all the recruits to bail so we have no choice but to fire fleck. Kinda like when everyone quit on the women's BB coach like 20 years ago.

Or just don't even bother spending any money on football and funnel it all to hockey?

Heck yeah....look at the class full of 2* guys we are going to be signing in December.....I mean there are....hold on let me count them all......probably going to take a while.....hmmm....that's odd, can't seem to find any 2* recruits in the entire class. One kid without a ranking....but no 2*. Must be looking in the wrong place I guess.

Having a bad day? I see that Fleck is doing better than the hockey program right now. My suggestion is to sign off, calm down, and go for a walk. Your words are concerning and don't make sense if you really support the program.

How many BiG schools have hockey as their number one followed sport?
