His job right now is to not lose the team. If he can get 3-4 wins (I doubt it) and the team plays hard, he can get a lower level job and restart his career. He said the right thing here.

I agree there's no better answer to the question. But it's at least a sign of progress that we're moving past the "Poor Ben, nothing can be done" narrative.

How will we tell if he's "lost them" if we keep losing by 20+? If tomorrow is another blowout Mark should pull the plug when they get back home on Tuesday.

Tomorrow is going to be a blowout. Maryland is not a good matchup for us. If we lose by 10, that would be progress.

I'm sure this off-season, when Coyle (administration spokesperson) told Ben that he would be losing all of his players...that they mapped out his future.

It's not like any of this is blamed on Ben and he's unceremoniously dumped.
 



Think about it. They obviously cut a deal with Ben. Mapped out his future.

It's absurd to think that they'd tell Ben he's losing all of his players...and he's getting unceremoniously dumped & blamed...with nothing in return...and he should keep his mouth shut about it.

Absurd.
