A.J. Natter has committed to Nebraska. Gophs offered, but he seemed like a Nebraska lean from the beginning. With Shelton spurning Becky BB is probably scratching the old pinhead about now.

This seems like a strange topic to start when we've already lost the #1 and #4 prospects in our own state.

I wouldn't be so sure about #1 ( cue up McDonald)

McDonald committed to the Gophers before he committed to anyone else. Onwualu is buddies with Floyd and has been pining for a Notre Dame offer since before he first played in an organized game. It could potentially happen, but McDonald is a terrible comparison. A better comparison (in terms of how likely Onwualu is to sign here) would be Floyd or Henderson.

If anything, Cottrell is a lot more likely to flip to Minnesota, because he doesn't currently hold a Gopher offer and the staff hasn't been recruiting him very hard.

Losing Natter hurts, but we offered Shelton as a WR/S and he wanted to play RB. Makes sense for him to go to MSU given the circumstances.

I'm pretty confident about UW landing Obasih and James, the other two instate DE's with multiple BCS offers, which would be fine given our lack of schollys.

Just stop, you are embarrassing.

It is called "recruiting" The in and outs, ups and downs. If you don't like it, take a long walk off a short pier. In any event, I couldn't give a rats ass of what goes through the empty space between your ears. Your think tank just does not seem to comprehend the competition between our two bigest rivals and the Gophers

I think it just goes to show you that it's impossible to really lock down the borders. You have to do a better and more consistant job with in-state recruits, but there are still kids that will want to leave the state.

And your think tank just does not seem to comprehend how silly it is to dig at the Badgers when the exact same thing has just happened to Kill. i enjoy good Badger hate as much as anyone. This is stupid Badger hate.

What do you mean hate? It is a spin on recruiting. He has for the last several years been spewing how he quote, unquote: " Locks down the borders" and "considers Minnesota within the borders of Wisconsin in regards to recruiting." Not a hate, just a fact Jack. It has absolutely nothing to do with Coach Kill.

Can any Badger hate really be stupid?;) I think that ruppertflywheel was really just trying to tell us that Bielema "cooled" on these recruits. Kill may have lost out on a couple of top recruits this season, but Wisconsin never loses a recruit they just cool on them.

Ruppert, just curious... do you ever find ANYONE that agrees with you? About the only place I find you get in more arguments than at Buckyville, is here at the Gopherhole. 90% of your material is related to Wisconsin and 95% of that seems to be somewhere in the range of misguided, to untimely, to flat out wrong. It seems like you slid down the pantherhawk slope but stopped just prior to creating fake facebook accounts.

You go there? Why? Not trying to take a shot, just curious. Are they as obsessed with the Gophers on that site as they are here?

I don't see why this isn't a legitimate mockery, considering Wisconsin has gone to two straight Rose Bowls. We can't use ourselves as a comparison (i.e., we lose our top guy/s every year) because we aren't there yet.

I think it's a good rip when your state isn't known as a high school football hotbed, you're the only major school there, you're a known commodity in the current D1 football market, and you cannot pull in your top recruits. I would be pissed if we swapped recent records with Wisconsin and Onwualu committed to Neb. That's a recruiting fail.

Hmm... Over 6000 posts and 90 % is related to Badger topics?. I'm laughing at that one Snoozer. Tell you what pal, if you can show 90 % of my posts are Badger related. I'll fly you and wife/gal pal to Vegas for the Gopher opener. This is the norm for you Snoozer a delusional response in a condescending nature.

You are probably right. It might be closer to 95%

Natter was at the Gopher spring practice on 4/5 and I was planning on doing a story on him this week. I guess that is pointless now. The Badgers will likely be hurt by the lack of scholarships that they have this year, so look for other schools like Minnesota and others try to land some of the top players from the state.
