be honest, it would be kind of fun to see Bama beat them 80-0.

To be fair the Big 12 intentionally backloaded their schedule because they don't have a championship game.

But yeah Baylor is and always will be a fraud.

I get that they back loaded the schedule but my god do those other 6 teams suck hard. I mean Iowa State is in 5th place.

They did not look good tonight against a three-loss Kansas State team annihilated by Oklahoma 55-0. Couldn't run that much and couldn't stop the run.

Exactly baylor gets to play ok st oklahoma and tcu in consecutive weeks....if they end up going undefeted they deserve to get a shot...mich st looks like ****....iowa hasnt played anyone....notre damn is ranked 5th cuz they lost to a clemson team that hasnt played anyone....we will figure out a lot more in a few weeks...not to mention k state plays everyone close at home

Yeah and thats the qb they have to play the rest of the year with. Injured qb doesn't explain giving up 250+ rushing yards to a 3-5 KSU. Same Kansas State that needed 3 OTs to beat Louisiana Tech.

At least Iowa has beaten 3 6-2 teams. Now you may not think much of those teams but they are better wins then Baylor.
 

That's why the the first couple rankings, especially, don't mean much. There's still so much TBD in terms of teams building a resume. The rankings will make a lot more sense with each week.

Personally, I hope Baylor goes 12-0 and gets left out. Not likely, but could happen:

Undefeated Clemson
Undefeated B1G champ
Undefeated or 1-loss SEC champ
1-loss Notre Dame, Stanford, or Utah (moreso ND)

And throw an unbeaten Memphis into the mix for sh*ts and giggles.

I can't stand Baylor. I'd rather see 2 SEC teams get in than those jokers. Just don't want a team with a total crap non-conference schedule to be rewarded. Hope they get burned whether they have 0 or 1 loss.
 

I just hope they all beat each other at least once, which I think is quite possible, so we can watch them throw a tantrum about being left out of the playoff again. :cool02:

I actually think that's fairly likely. All it would take is for Oklahoma to beat the winner of Baylor/TCU

Even though I don't care for Baylor, I'd be upset if an undefeated power 5 team is left out and a 1-loss team gets in.

To me it still depends on SOS. I'm going to reward a team like Wisconsin (not that they are in play this year) for scheduling and losing to Alabama and not a team that's playing Sam Houston Institute of Technology (fictional team but I like the acronym). So I can see where a one loss team gets more credit. This can only improve the quality of football we see as fans.
