We should get a little more clarity after today (obvious statement)

I really think the only guarantee at this point is the winner of the Big Ten championship game will get a spot, no matter if it's Iowa, or MSU/OSU/MI.

If Clemson loses to UNC (or USC, but assuming they won't) or Bama loses one of it's last two here, things will get really crazy. I don't even want to think about how it will play out if those events happen.

So very unlikely but what if all this happens:

- Stanford beats Notre Dame
- Ohio St beat Michigan
- Florida loses to Florida St but beats Alabama
- Clemson beats UNC
- Michigan St. beats Iowa

That would leave Clemson undefeated and four teams with 1 loss: Oklahoma/Oklahoma St., Michigan St, Ohio St. and Iowa. Does the Big Ten get two teams in in that situation or does a 2-loss team like Stanford or Alabama still get in?

I can see four of those things happening but probably not Alabama losing to Florida. But who knows, that is why you play the game.

I would love to see the B1G get 2 teams in but I doubt that would happen. The overall college football fan in me thinks the loser of a conference championship game shouldn't get in, even if they have a better record than the winner of another conference champion. This is how its handled all across all sports, win your division (conference in this case) and get in, get 2nd in your division and you need to be a wild card which doesn't exist for the CFP
