Come so far in such a short time.
PJ Is great because of following (feel free to add to the list) -
Identifies talent (some like Tanner who was ranked a three star with a 84% grade and five total FBS offers and Rashod who was ranked a four star with a 89% grade and five SEC offers)
He connects with them because in this age of incredible narcissism (my commentary) he appeals to that part of a person who wants to become accomplished in all facets of their life. He is genuine because kids and more importantly their parent know he is authentic and he is who he is; definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I think, from what I know, that i'd feel good about him being a coach/mentor for my kid.
He develops the players he recruits - Bateman was ranked the #61WR and Morgan #44 Pro QB and they will both get drafted. Even if Morgan doesn't become a starter and is a backup in the League for a while, he looks like a future coach in my opinion.
Of course we continue to reach new heights with out program and will win the B10 West in the next couple of years.
We have a national brand now. When I went to Oregon for the OSU game, I had two people unsolicited ask me about him and "Row the Boat." I flew into Portland for a few day prior and when at a brewery had a Wolverine ask me about it - I explained to him and the Husker I met at the NE vs OR game about his kid dying and him adopting the mantra - and both said Wow, that's cool and i'll be rooting for you guys as my secondary team. Was a great trip as I go to see the first half of the NE vs. OR game and catch the whole Gopher game as well. The Duck fans were super cool and their game day is amazing as they have a whole indoor setup with activities for kids, beer/grilling, table to sit - to get to that level would be crazy here, Corvallis OR is a dump and Jake's Seafood Grill in Portland had the a happy hour like from the 80s.
Fleck ain't going anywhere in my opinion, he has always been the underdog (played in the NFL at that size - don't care if it was preseason or not. He wants to win where it hasn't been done in a long time or is easy, like most helmet schools.
HE'S OUR COACH, PERIOD!!!
