I love our wide receivers and wouldn't be at surprised if all three of Bateman, Johnson, and Autman-Bell play in the NFL.

But how does the ball actually get into their hands? There seems to be little or no description of that in articles about our passing game. Does some other, anonymous, player take the snap, make a read -- or two, maybe pump fake, scramble if necessary, and throw it right to the perfect spot for the WR to catch it in stride and take off?

Who is this fellow? Is he at all important to the process? Was his performance against Purdue unremarkable, sort of standard for a caretaker QB?

Chip's column in the Strib, which is all about the passing game, doesn't mention Morgan until paragraph 7, and basically ignores him the rest of the way.

Is there any doubt that Morgan just had the greatest passing game in Gopher history? Is there even a contender for 2nd place? Did he just have the greatest game, period, in Gopher history? Maybe not, given the opponent and the stakes, but I think he made the short list.

I know geez! Granted the receivers Are very good but given the lack of quality QB play in such a long time you think he'd get some more love.
