B1G Tournament Thread

I actually kind of like our draw. Not saying we are going to run the table but I wouldn't be surprised if we won our first two games. We would definitely have to play well and shoot well, but it's nice that we avoid playing MSU and tOSU in the first two rounds.

So far, of the 3 seasons (B1G regular, B1G tourney, any NCAA postseason), we've only played the one I care least about. If this team can find a way to win the tournament, I'd call it a successful year. Let's get it done boys!

I like the first two rounds, but I sure wish Wisconsin would have won the 3/4 tie-breaker. Ohio State would be a tough game, but at least there's a chance that Purdue could knock them out in round two. All a moot point if we don't make it there though.

Poor Branden Dawson. Ugh.. another ACL. Hope he can be ready for the start of next season.. big loss for Michigan State.

Didn"t hear about Dawson until you mentioned it GW. He is/was a player on the rise. He had great leaping and slashing abiligty and you have to hope for his sake he doesn't lose those gifts. Could really hurt MSU next year.

I definitely think that we can make a run. Both NW and Michigan are good matchups for us, and I can see us winning those two. We need to pressure NW but doubt that we do.

An important thing I can see going forward with this team into the future is if they learned from the last time they played the nerds. The 1-3-1 absolutely killed us and it'll show if they listened to the adjustments that are being made in practice to break it (it's not that hard). Turnovers killed us in many of our games this year and if we cut back on those and attack the hoop, we could make some noise and beat the first two teams. (We should have beat meatchicken on the road already.)
