On only one occasion in the 19-year history of the Big Ten Tournament (2005) have the Gophers received a bye into the BTT Friday quarterfinals.

Thursday, March 9 (Second Round)

#5 Nebraska (3-2) vs. Michigan/Ohio State winner, 1:30 (BTN)
#7 Penn State (3-2) vs. #10 Indiana (2-3), 5:30 (ESPN2)
#6 Purdue (3-2) vs. Illinois/Rutgers winner, 8 (ESPN2)

Friday, March 10 (Quarterfinals)
#1 Maryland (4-1) vs. GOPHERS/Iowa winner, 11 (ESPN)
#4 Northwestern (4-2) vs. Nebraska/Michigan/Ohio State winner, 1:30 (ESPN)
#2 Wisconsin (3-1) vs. Penn State/Indiana winner, 5:30 (BTN)

Gophers didn't play until Quarterfinal Friday on the last one!

I don't know if this makes you feel any better but as of January 16th, we are a 6 seed in the dance per Joe Lunardi. There are 8 Bigs dancing. Purdue is also a 6 seed, Wisconsin a 5 seed and all other Big programs 8 or higher.
