On only one occasion (2005) have the Gophers received a bye into the BTT Friday quarterfinals. That'd be sweet if it finally happened again, wouldn't it?

Wednesday, March 8 (Weakling Wednesday)
#12 Indiana (0-2) vs. #13 Ohio State (0-2), 3:30 (ESPN2)
#11 Penn State (1-2) vs. #14 Rutgers (0-3), 6 (BTN)

Thursday, March 9 (Second Round)
#8 Illinois (1-1) vs. #9 Northwestern (1-2), 11 (BTN)
#5 Purdue (2-1) vs. Indiana/Ohio State winner, 1:30 (BTN)
#7 Michigan (1-1) vs. #10 Iowa (1-2), 5:30 (ESPN2)
#6 Maryland (1-1) vs. Penn State/Rutgers winner, 8 (ESPN2)

Friday, March 10 (Quarterfinals)
#1 Michigan State (3-0) vs. Illinois/Northwestern winner, 11 (ESPN)
#4 GOPHERS (2-1) vs. Purdue/Indiana/Ohio State winner, 1:30 (ESPN)
#2 Nebraska (3-0) vs. Michigan/Iowa winner, 5:30 (BTN)
#3 Wisconsin (2-0) vs. Maryland/Penn State/Rutgers winner, 8 (BTN)

I am not saying this to be a buzzkill, but I would see getting a bye into Thursday a major step forward. It's no sure thing to finish ahead of 4 teams right now, especially with the start that Nebraska has had.

With you 100% on that. The road is long, still.

Just sayin',

Wow Nebraska & Minnesota not playing until Friday... We're usually trying to sell our tickets by Friday... That would be so sweet, even though I realize it is a pipe dream at this point.

Dangerous assumption, but if they keep doing well, it's a damn shame that this is in DC this year.

Not an assumption, just something I'll update every 3 games or so! If Gophers are in top 4 (double bye) at halfway point, then we're talking. 2nd half of B1G schedule is the easier half.

Sorry. I was saying it's dangerous for me to assume they're going to keep winning.

I see it happening barring key injuries.
