Nice numbers all around. They should be able to pad them quite a bit against Rutgers, and probably Maryland.

Rutgers averaging 1.8 points per game. That ain't good.

The pass efficiency numbers are video game stuff. Always a good look to be step for step with Ohio State in core efficiency stats like YPP and YPPA. No wonder the Gophers SP+ has jumped over 30 spots in 3 weeks.

If you factor out scores our offense gifted to Illinois (as you should), our scoring D is 13.6 ppg.

Wow.

Those numbers are all in a range from very good to outstanding, across the entire board. Color me very impressed.

1) PYPA 4.5 yards ahead of 2nd place. All others are within 1/2 a yard to a yard from the next place.
2) Pass Efficiency over 63 better than 2nd place. All the other teams are within shouting distance of 3 places either way.
Nice to see the U having impressive stats.
Offense 1st or 2nd, defense top 5. Keep it up boys.

True but you would also then need to look at everyone else and do the same thing with their numbers as well. Probably helps us more then other teams but not sure how many points any of them have had scored on them by the other teams defense.

We haven't faced any of the top defenses in the conference yet but great to see our offensive numbers hanging right up there with Ohio State. And defensively we have not been the best but we are up near the top in pretty much all those categories which is where you need to be.

Just need to take care of business over these next two weeks and then we can tee it up against Penn State and see what happens.

These numbers are mostly meaningless. When you look at the stats of the opponents we have played it is no wonder why our stats are so good. That being said, I understand that there have been many years that are stats weren't nearly as good as they are this year so that is certainly a positive.

Passing Efficiency Defense - we still get to play three of the four best teams
Passing yards defense - we still get to play the three top teams, Gophers excluded
Rushing yards per attempt - we still get to play the top two teams
Passing yards per attempt - we get to play the second best team

I think I have made my point, the good news is that we are near the top of all these categories and they still have to play us.

I just don't see us any worse than 10-2 and possibly even better than that! RTB SUM GG
