Go Gophers!!

An appropriate response to the poor sportsmanship displayed by the Terps in my opinion.

I was cheering for Penn State all the way after Maryland's "display." It would have been better had Diggs been immediately suspended from the game. It's not going to make an impact against Michigan State.

Nice little rivalry they're starting :)

IMO it doesn't matter how this started, those three should no longer be Captains after such a poor display of leadership. If you won't shake hands, why even bother playing the game?

It drew lots of attention for more rivalries.

I HATE WHOMEVER WE PLAY!!!

I missed it, what did Diggs do?

Hopefully, PSU had the decency and good judgment to defend their goalposts after the game.

I'm glad that the B1G reprimanded Maryland. I've lived in the DC area for almost fifty years, and I find the kind of behavior Maryland displayed fairly typical of their sports programs. There were a couple of articles in the Washington Post the week before the game about how they wanted to create a border rivalry with Penn State. I suspect that they went into State College intending to provoke a confrontation.

Part of me wanted to see Penn St. win and Franklin do that to Edsall. That would have been great. Just walk up to him and leave Edsall hanging, then walk away.

Probably better to take the high road, but it still would have been funny.

So I take it the Diggs suspension is from a separate incident? Otherwise it would seem that all three of the players should have been suspended. Just a stupid move on their part and there is no place for that kind of crap. You may want to start a rivalry but that doesn't give you the right to just abandon good sportsmanship at the start of the game.

edit - just saw the full video for the first time, didn't realize there was some pre-game fighting going on between the teams. Still doesn't excuse the actions of the captains but I guess I can see where it came from at least.
