1. Purdue (16-5) -- bye (RPI = #9)
2. Indiana (13-8) -- bye (RPI = #106)
3. Penn State (13-8) (RPI = #117)
4. Michigan State (12-9) (RPI = #48)
5. Nebraska (12-9) (RPI = #83)
6. Ohio State (11-10) (RPI = #61)

Outside Looking In
7. Minnesota (10-11) (RPI = #136)
8. Illinois (9-12) (RPI = #90)
9. Iowa (8-13) (RPI = #212)
10. Michigan (7-14) (RPI = #202)

Michigan and Northwestern mathematically eliminated.

Gophers in a world of hurt. Penn State, Sparty, Nebraska and Ohio State all hold head-to-head tiebreaker over Gophers.
 

If Gophers sweep they can get in if Ohio St. wins only 1 game or gets swept, Nebraska gets swept, or Michigan St. gets swept. If Gophers win 2 of 3 they only get in if Ohio St. gets swept.
 

Gophers in a world of hurt

They can't seem to finish the one run games. The last 2 weekends have been disappointing.
 

Agreed, I was a little worried when we had so many chances to win that Sunday game against Iowa that went extra innings and couldn't get it done and now that loss is really looking like it could be a huge one and really come back to haunt us.
 

If the Gophers can sweep, the chances aren't too bad. We would need OSU to win no more than 1 against Indiana, MSU to win no more than 1 against Penn State or Nebraska to be swept by Michigan.

If the Gophers go 2-1, then we would need OSU to be swpept of MSU swept.
 


Gophers get help this afternoon as Indiana beat Ohio St. 10-8 and Penn St. beat Michigan St. 3-2.
 

Gophers can't take advantage of the help as they lose 7-5, they battled back from 4-0 down to take a 5-4 lead, but Illinois would tie it in the bottom of the 5th and in the bottom of the 8th the Gophers would throw a wild pitch on an intentional walk to give up the game winning run. Gophers must win these last 2 games, while Ohio St. must lose the last 2 games of the season for the Gophers to make the B1G 10 tournament.
 

It is incredibly disappointing how the season is wrapping up. Just two weeks ago we were in 2nd place and looking to get a bye.
