Of the away games currently scheduled, which game would you most want to attend and why?

Note: 4 away games in October, with Michigan in the middle of them. Thats a tough 5 weeks.

@ Maryland October 3rd
@ Wisconsin October 10th
@ Illinois October 24th
@ Michigan St October 31st
@ Nebraska FRIDAY November 27th

May try to convince the wife to take a road trip with our 5 month old to Illinois for our anniversary. Chicago and a quick trip to Champaign.

If I could do any of these though, Nebraska on a Friday. I like going there, have family in the area and Black Friday is intriguing.

IAM4Goldy and I (along with our sons) are making the trip to Maryland. It should be a great time of year there, and the Gophers don't often play at College Park so we wanted to get that road game while we can.

Go Gophers!!

Maryland. Plan an extra day to tour DC which is only a few miles away from Campus/Stadium. I'd highly recommend the Hop On/Hop Tour. You can cover alot of ground this way then decide which individual Smithsonian's you'd like to tour. Don't get fooled by thinking its walking distance by looking the maps - its longer than it looks. This history here is amazing that's why I'd suggest DC/Maryland.

I will be leaving my 6 month old with the grandparents and heading to Nebraska with my wife

I'll for sure be at the Champagne game since it is the closest to where I live. Nebraska or Michigan State are also possibilities.

So the babies aren’t born yet? If you’re talking about their current ages they’ll both be about a year old.

Being that a home game is actually a road game for me , I'm coming up for the Michigan game with a buddy who's a huge Wolverine guy. Can't wait to see us grab the jug.

I have been to 10 B1G cities/stadiums (several more than once) and feel strongly that Champaign is the most underrated. It was awesome. Great Campus and Great Gameday scene. Cheap seats. Historic stadium. Loved every minute of it. Great weather and a
Win likely helped too.

I'm planning on going to the Wisconsin game.

I want to go to the Nebraska game but Black Friday is not a good day for me to get off work.

Planning on Illinois and Michigan State. That will leave Purdue as the only B1G stadium I haven't been too.

You can always get excellent tickets to the Illini game whereas, for example, the main away team seating area at Nebraska is the worse seats I have ever had at any away game anywhere.

The Nebraska seats are not great but I really do love going to games there. Illini game seems most likely at this point though!

Son is U of M grad and avid Gopher fan. Lives and works in Baltimore. Planning to see Gophers and the turtle for a first road game experience!

I could not agree more with the comments about Champaign - Urbana. I unfortunately went to the game there in 2014 where the great 2014 team found a way to lose. I drove down there with the top down on the old convertible, the weather was great, and the flat fields were pretty boring. Once we got to CU it all got better, other than the outcome.

The campus was very nice, the fans were very nice sort of docile, the campus pub area (Greenstreets, ect- never made to the actual downtown Champaign just to the west or Urbana to the east) was a lot of fun, and the old creaky stadium was one of my favorites ( I was on the old east side). Love the old corner towers that mask the ugly access ramps for the upper deck- much like Northwestern).

For the record, Northwestern was just as dismal as everyone said it would be but at least we won. I'll go back there next time as well. NU needs to tear down that whole thing, other than the west stands and start over. The West side with the towers is pretty great, and since there was no one there in November, I made a point if sitting in the upper deck and in some of the nice seats. Ryan Field is pretty unique, but only on the west side.

For me next year comes down to Maryland, Nebraska, and Illinois; at least one trip or all if I can pull it off. Wisconsin would be another option, as I watch the final moments of the 2018 game with amazement and envy for those clad in Gopher colors that early evening in 2018, on my DVR time and time again. That Wisconsin game and the Auburn game were two of the best for me, ever.

I am interested in going to Nebraska again but unfortunately it would mean leaving on Thanksgiving.

I’ll be flying into Detroit and going to Michigan St for my 1st time.

Interesting- I’ve never been there but it’s on the list.

I was there when the Vikings and Bears played and Soldier Field was being renovated. I liked the stadium from what I can remember (it was a while ago and like beer just a little more than I probably should). Vikings pissed a 4th quarter lead down their leg to the unstoppable force that was Jim Miller.

Hey! I like beer too!
