per CBS:

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio is a no-nonsense guy, especially when it comes to poor media questions. This is, after all, the man who brought back "next question" like Justin Timberlake brought sexy back.

So it probably should probably come as no surprise that Dantonio hung up in the middle of an interview on national radio on Wednesday. Appearing on FOX Sports Daybreak with Mike North and Andy Furman, Dantonio never seemed happy about the questions he received, which ranged in topics from Jim Harbaugh to outdated narratives about the state of the program.

You can listen (and cringe) to the full audio below.

Go Gophers!!

North and Furman are unlistenable. I sometimes catch a bit before the Power Trip starts. North especially is just a clown. Truly unlistenable.

Mark Dantonio, without question is the best football coach in America. Think about it, Mich./Ohio State/Alabama have had great tradition for decades. Sabin even left State because lack of tradition, facilities, and interest. His program has developed into one of the best, even with the jerk at Mich.

Agree... that's why I never listen to these guys and Mike "n" Mike in the Morning. I do listen to CSN ( College Sports Network ) on Sirius XM. These guys are pretty decent. Plus, Tom Lemming is periodically on and you sometimes get some Gopher info on recruiting.

While I think the Harbaugh question was an odd lead, isn't it a legitimate topic? How do you feel about your in-state rival's antics as a promotor of his university?

The Izzo question, while phrased incorrectly and quite stereotypical of Italian's "do you eat pasta" isn't a terrible question, "do you have a relationship with Izzo?"

Exactly what questions should these guys ask? As the one he hung up on was also a decent question, who's behind center this year, tell me about him. Or am I missing something regarding Mich St where their QB got suspended for something stupid?

When I listened to the audio I thought at first it was a joke. These guys are a ridiculous caricature of typical sports talkers, and they were wasting his time with vapid questions. Dantonio is a businesslike coach, and he didn't enjoy fooling around with fools. I probably would have ended the call prematurely, too.

Neither if your paraphrased questions were what was asked.

Perfectly stated. Questions clearly were phrased to agitate, and nothing else. They had no intention of having a legitimate interview. I would have hung up earlier than Dantonio did.

There is no question dealing with the media has to be the most irritating part of the job. Therefore we usually hear the same rehearsed responses again and again so the coach can just get on with their job. The minute someone breaks script and shows their actual feelings, irritation, or frustration the jackals are waiting. Dantonio is Ina position he could simply refuse to do these interviews. What are they going to do, dock his pay? Big deal. Fire him? Forget about it.

North is the definition of Chicago style tool. I have no idea how he stayed in the air so long in Chicago. It was funny when he got taken by a conartist.

I suppose you can get a few Chicago stations in Wisconsin.

Man, Dantonio gets extra credit for answering that pasta question in a patient fashion.

I'm sure some days he'll tolerate stupid questions depending how he feels. He is a business like. Coach and I don't think he has to listen some of this crap now or in the future. That goes for Claeys as well. He doesn't have to put up with stuff either if it is wasting his time.
