I see Cosgrove stole $305 k from us this year.

Only in America can you go from working for free to making well into six figures the next year, for doing the exact same (poor) job.
 

We'll never know how good Cosgrove is as a coach, obviously no great as a DC. He did okay in 2009 with an experienced defense. This year we were awful, but thinking we were going to be anything but that with the number of new players starting, no backups at DT, and weekly starting lineup changes in the defensive backfield was a pipe dream. I would guess he has coached his last season as a BCS DC. I think a couple of our defensive postion coaches were also over matched even more than Cosgrove was. The first four games Garin looked like he was playing linebacker, and he actually has talent.
