I can't believe the arrogance that I have been reading on the Bison fan board the last couple of days....many are predicting to blow the Gophers ( or Goofers as they call us) out of the water with a several touchdown victory....I hope our players are reading this crap and it provides extra motivation to come out and punch these @holes in the mouth!! Go Gophers

- They are 4-3 against BCS teams since 2006. (http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/sports/ndsu-minnesota-football-sept-19-2011)
- Mason's Gophers needed to block a FG at the end of the game to beat them.
- Brewster's Gophers actually lost to them. Outplayed badly on the ground.
- They've blown out their lousy competition this year while the Gophers are 1-2 and gave-up a whole bunch of points to a bad New Mexico State team.
- Their basketball team has even knocked-off some Major Conference squads.

Now throw in the basic fact that they are on the internet and all that leads up to confidence, if not arrogance.

The Gophers from the Second Half of the first two games and the Gray of last week's game show-up and they win with room to spare. The Gophers from the other three halves and the Refs from the last two games show up and the Bison fans will be unbearably arrogant.

I hate the Goofers (or rodents, as I've also seen) comments coming from NDSU fans. It's one thing coming from Wisco or Iowa--you know, actual rivals. But NDSU... seriously? They're not a rival; they're a nuisance. I'm can't wait for Saturday to remind them of this fact. Kill will have the boys ready. They can ponder how to properly say "Gophers" on the long, quiet ride back to Fargo after a nice blowout.
 

Since Coach Kill actually WAS one of these schools he'll have the guys ready to go. Just stop the run and you win easy.

I hope that this is true....but I guess you could kinda say the same thing about New Mexico State, and look what happened....We just need to keep getting better

.... and hold onto the mother-loving football. There is almost no way we lose if we don't turn the ball over; but if we start coughing it up, NDSU will take advantage - count on it.
 

Key is to punch them in the mouth early. Make them realize they are not a FBS team. I hope we play D first, Tinsley blows up the first run for -1; Cooper destroys the QB on a sack forcing third and long; and the QB is forced to tuck it for 4 yard gain on 3rd due to coverage. Then send the dogs-and block the punt. Just my wish. Oh, and no stupid squib kicks.

Especially for that purple monkey dishwasher remark.

I wonder why they are confident?

I would pick them to beat NMST and the Gophers couldnt beat them. We got beat not only by them but USD last season and we could have gotten beat by SDSU a couple years ago. If the Gophers are not ready to play this week there is a good chance we will lose. I am a Gopher fan to the end but if you are going to lose to NMST there is no such thing as an easy win. I think the Gophers get a win in this game but we dont win by more than 17 points. I hope I am wrong and we win by 20 or more but I am not sure the Gophers are good enough to do that at this point in the year.

We'll be able to tell what their level of arrogance is right away by the following (unless we're kicking to them):

1) If they kick to Stoudemeyer = No respect for us.
2) If they squib or kick to Ed Olson = Some respect
 


I think the gophers win and I hope the Gophers blow them out. But after watching the first couple games this season I think it is way more likely that NDSU wins by a lot then the Gophers do. I hope I'm wrong though

I keep hearing that Ed Olson returned kicks from posters on here and Limegrover even said it, but am I crazy, wasn't it Tommy that returned a couple kicks?
 


The love triangle storyline between Rick Martel, Sensational Sherri Martel and Shawn Michaels is very underrated.

2 turnovers, with 13 points directly off them. We lost by 13.

Nobody is surprised.
