I would rather see him in the starting lineup, if Nolen is out, over Ahanmisi. That likely wont happen though. I'm pretty sure Tubby is in love with Ahanmisi. Ahanmisi has shown that he can make some three's here and there, but other than that, he leaves alot to be desired. We aren't going to create alot of offensive oppurtunities with both Hoffarber and Ahanmisi on the floor. We need a guy like Chip, who can create off the dribble much like Nolen, out on the floor. I suppose Chip is going to see increased minutes as well as Hollins and Ahanmisi, but I would like to see Chip get the starting nod. Assumin Nolen is out for an extended period.

Dumb. Your opinion is more valuable than Tubby's, who sees them all everyday. :horse:

Radio announcers mentioned Tubby was really impressed with Chip's recent performance in practice. Seemed to fit with Chip getting a lot of playing time against Michigan. I think the spot is open, whichever player steps up will get the nod. Can Hoff handle a tight press as well as Mav, since would think Chips chance to start is for Hoff to play PG.

regardless of who starts, Chip will see plenty of playing time, and I suspect more than Mav. Mav will have to play some, since Armelin doesn't appear to have the skills to play the point at this juncture.

He handled it quite well at the end of the Michigan game, even getting a couple easy run-outs.

Yes he did. Seems like Tubby has already answered this question - when Al went down he played Blake at PG and Chip at SG. Unless Mav wins the start in practice, would expect to see Blake and Chip start. Of course, Tubby will be very tight lipped about it.

Whoever handles the 1-3-1 better will get the most mnutes Wed.

I'd expect Austin to start over Chip. I am guessing Chip played more at Michigan due to Austin's illness.

I want Chip on the floor to guard Thompson.

I would think that because of the length, but I don't know if he'd start Hoff at the point with no other ball handlers out there. I'm thinking Mav will get the start of the game, with Chip and Hollins getting probably more burn overall. At the start of the game, get a true PG to start things off, and then let things play from there. People are giving Mav grief for turning the ball over too much, but I'm thinking playing him with that first unit will be more beneficial to his game. Then you have punch with Chip off the bench to provide sparks and the ability to get into the paint a little more.
