I think I might lose it when the band announcer guy does this line at the first game, because dammit I am ready! I'm ready for our team to play a game under our sky on our turf at our stadium!

I feel you...just one more game to watch them under the teflon, for old times sake...then christmas comes early on the 12th.

Is it bad that I just broke down to the minute how long we have until gametime on the 12th? :)

Was at the bookstore this weekend. Bought a giant, 4' x 6' "M" flag, a bunch of shirts, and a Gopher-branded tailgating chair. Have also worked out all the food and drink details for pre-game festivities (tailgating on the St. Paul campus), as well as a general plan for when we're going to head to the stadium area to take it all in.

Need to order a 20' pole for giant flag and complete construction of the giant Jenga set we're building for tailgating. Once that's done, I will be officially ready.

It's going to be so effing money.

My only fear is that TCF is going to awe me into missing the first quarter.

My only fear is that I am going to be so jacked up and nervous that I will be puking in the bathroom and miss the first quarter.

I have never been this pumped for the start of Gopher football season. Even for this weekend's road game in a dome, I'm going absolutely crazy waiting.

I guess one could surmise that my chili is, indeed, hot.

Heh. Nicely played.

To update you all, I just purchased the 20' flag pole and wheel stand. Now I just need to finish that giant Jenga set....

Exactly how big is this Jenga setup you speak of?

Giant Jenga will be about 3' high to start the game and may get up around 4.5 - 5.5 after about 20 or so rounds due to stacking of removed blocks on top of the structure. We bought a gang of 2" x 4"s and will cut about them into approximately 60 blocks of about 12" long. Will construct a plywood box for transport/setup, paint/fire brand each piece with M logos or something and be ready to roll.

That is amazingly awesome.

Yeah, we're looking forward to it. We'll be tailgating at the St. Paul campus, so look for the Jenga Tower if you're in the neighborhood. I enjoy drinking beer, so you'll be welcome. :)

My brother in-law has a giant Jenga set (my sister made it for him, they call it Junga). It is really fun to play, indoors or outdoors.
