As much as I hate to say, but I think we are gonna have to use Jon this game. With Pittman being 6-10, 300 pounds, I don't know if RSIII and Colt45 can bang around with him.

I haven't seen Texas play much this year, but I don't remember us playing against any teams with a guy that size.

If Jon can provide 10 minutes of reasonable defense without any major offensive hiccups, I think it could go a long way in helping the Gophers win. I realize this might be asking more than some posters think Jon is capable of, but I think I'm asking for the moon here.

I got a cold shiver down my back when I read this, but I agree with Parkinglotgopher on this one. If we can get a few solid minutes of him without having him commit any major turnovers, missed layups, or other problems, then I don't think we have a choice.

3rd C Means 15 Fouls (Not 10)

It helps having a 3rd big man to give up a few fouls.

Well yea who else do we got that can BANG bodies with pittman.

I really hope not. It's usually a sign that either that it's senior night or things are going well for the gophers when Williams gets his rotund bottom offa the bench.

How about Jon wearing Pittman out..I read Pittman tires easily and fouls frequently - and then let Colt and Ralph take over! Does that sound like a plan?

Well I don't want Colton and Ralph to play a little softer because they are worried about foul trouble. I'd rather have Big Jon get some minutes, so we have an extra body to get some fouls in. Hopefully fresh bodies will help wear down Pittman as well.

Barnes won't allow Pittman to get into too much foul trouble. Two fouls in the first half, and he is on the bench until the second half. Texas has 4 players who are a legit 6'10. These guys are decent college players. They rebound well and make a few shots here an there. They aren't Pittman, but they do their job.
