Funny how Nebraska skated to the top 10 by playing absolutely no one (one team with a winning record in their first seven games...Wyoming) but they lose to their first winning team and stay in the top 10. I hate college polls. I wonder if they will drop out of the top 10 when they get their @sses wiped by OSU!?!

They lost to a tough top 10 team on the road in OT.
 

But again, they got into the top 10 playing no one. You should here how they brag about beating Oregon by 3. If you can't tell, I hate living in Nebraska. I can tell you that they think we are the worst team in the B1G. I hope we kick their @ss in a few weeks.

You stole my topic. I wasn't going to say anything about getting their bottoms wiped, though.

I'm shocked that Nebraska stayed in the top ten. Thought for sure they'd drop to the 20-25 neighborhood.
 



Thanks for your support. Seems like other Gopher fans seem to be as enamored with the Cornholers as those who control the rankings.

So Northwestern is no one? Enamored? No some people are just a little more realistic than you.
 

The only "poll" that means anything is conference wins, conference championships and prestigious bowl wins all at the end of the FB season..
 




We're "ranked" 38th in the coaches' poll, with 2 votes
 

I'm impressed with Washington. They seem like the sleeper team that could win it all.

Northwestern is ok...still not a winning record (4-4). Glad you can tell so much about me from a post and for not liking Nebraska. I will contend that Nebraska has always built their program on easy schedules and illegal recruiting. I was witness to most of their players driving Cadillac's when I earned on if my masters degrees from UNL. UNL where N stands for knowledge.

You are keeping it in perspective.......can't stand Nebraska fans. They really hate it when I tell them Minnesota has the edge in the all time series.

I love that as well. Funny thing is, they don't think the series counts until after 1970 when they started to become a descent program.
 

Well there are those who count National Championships from right before the last ice age and those who count them from just after.
Neither are meaningful to recruits whose parents were not even born when these events took place.
But they are a comfort to the those who continue to mention them in times of misery.

Yep, I think it is totally B.S. that the Yankees count 27 World Championships. They should only count the ones during our lifetimes. It's bogus!!!!

Do you know when the last ice age was? Anyways.....I agree. National Championships that occured before written word was invented (prior to the 60's) should be ignored.

Babe Ruth was a myth. It never happened and shouldn't be recognized as a real person. Clearly was a caveman during the last ice age.
