...that signifies that you're way too "geeked" for the game. The Gophers lost today for two reasons: poor defensive rebounding and poor shooting. The defensive rebounding has no excuse, but chalk up the poor shooting to being too geeked for the game - reminiscent of Purdue vs. Duke and MSU vs. NC earlier in the year - when you're too nervous for the game you are not relaxed enough to shoot. Now that the Gophers have lost and their expectations (and pressure) have dropped, expect the shooting to look better next time out.

I don't think Tubby had his team too geeked, but we were counting on too many Big Ten newcomers who were automatically over-geeked.

Does it really matter if you win 21-20, lose 21-20, win 80-79, lose 80-79 or whatever. The number of points is not what is important, it is if you win or lose, period. The GopherGuys put up a heck of a fight against a potential Final Four team. Get over it. Bring on tOSU, Saturday. GO GOPHERS!!!!!!!!!
