...if so, could you lemme know how the view and crowd are up there? I tried upgrading to non-donation seatbacks, but unfortunately got shut out. When I called today, the best they could offer was row 32 of section 212 (at a $100 premium per seat). I'm currently sitting very low in 215, which is OK, but I'd really like to be closer to the middle of the field and in seatbacks. That said, I'm a bit leery of moving up so high...decisions, decisions.

I sat in 211 the first year of the stadium, second row from the top. We were about on the 40-yard line and the sight lines were great. Very happy, but we moved to non-donation chairbacks last year in 207 (10-yard line) and are about in the middle now. I preferred 211, but moving to non-donation chairbacks allowed us to buy 4 seats instead of two.

The view is great, but bring sunglasses. Sat in the last row of that section ( on a bench on the walkway) for the second half of the USC game. I liked it except for the glare off the turf. It was also quite warm, which I liked but may have felt differently had I been wedged into a regular seat.

It's odd that you couldn't get any non-donation seatbacks. The ticket office just sent out an email a couple of days ago, saying that seats are available in the top 5 rows of sections 207, 208, 237, 238, 243, and 244, which are all non-donation seatback sections. Perhaps you wanted more seats together than they could accomodate?

Thanks for the replies, everyone...I really appreciate it! Two minutes after I posted my message, I went ahead and called back to take the offer! Getting into seatbacks (and nearer the 50) was just too good to pass up. What put me over the edge was remembering the widely circulated tidbit that the last row of the upper deck at TCF offers roughly the same view as the first row of the upper deck at the Metrodome. Not sure if it's true, but I'm banking on it!

And yes Votary, I also found it strange (and disappointing) that they couldn't fulfill my request for non-donation seatbacks, but I assume it's due to the fact that I have 3 tickets--a very odd (literally) number. Too many for two seats, too few for them to break up a block of four and risk having a single to sell. That said, I'd be curious to hear if anyone else calls and has luck getting three (or 4, 5, 6) in a non-donation seatback section.

I called yesterday and upgraded from 2 in 232 to 4 in 208 (non-donation). Just good luck and good timing, I guess.

Ugh, They told me there was nothing but singles in those sections. Granted we had a group of 7, I would have split up 4 of those for 232. I should just call again or go in person.

MG, there are a number of GH'ers in 212.

I've got two in the middle of Row 24 and love it. Row 32 should be fine as well.

When I was called last week they didn't have any non-donation seatbacks, now, I needed 4 seats together so I am assuming that option was not available. I had no location restrictions on my non-donation seatback request.

Yes, I am in 212 row 23. Great view. People around me are great fans (we aren't fighting on sit/stand).

Just called and moved my 2 seats from 245 into 212, row 31. Seats are around the 25 yard line. I'm pumped!

Anyone have a picture or anything from around that area??

I concur. Great seats view and fans around!

Here's a picture from a couple of years ago...

I just bought a pair in 244 row 24.

The view is great from there.

I'm also in Sec212, row 21...just a couple rows away from BildGopher and ButchNash. Great section. You'll be happy with your decision!

Keep in mind in cold games, this is a positive to be in the sun. Also the breeze generally comes from the open end to these sections during the fall.

But even if it is 65, it can seem very hot with no breeze.

We just moved this morning. There are seats in $0 donation seat backs in 207, row 23 or 24. We were in 105, but it was too low to see the other end of the field very well. Plus we are getting $90 back since we no longer need to rent the seats for the bench. Call them this morning, seemed like there were plenty available, but only in 207.

Hey 212ers! Does anyone have any other pictures from 212? I let my parents and family use my tickets and want to send them a view from my new seats. Thanks!

I did see that one earlier...gave me a good idea of the view my my seats.

I was hoping there was another picture that had more field and less Maverick (no offense Mav :) ) to send to my family.

Need sunglasses and its a good view
