It sounds like " Captain Kirk " from Iowa. He has tremendous respect for Kill.

That is good to hear Ferentz has respect for Coach Kill, but Iowee doesn't play Michigan this season. So Ferentz is out. Any other guesses?

My personal guess is Dantonio of Michigan State. Why? He remembers how hard and very close the U has played State in 2 of the last 3 seasons and perhaps hears Coach Kill and squad knocking hard on that door and thinks they might finally be ready to break through it.

My guess is Bo Pelini, I think we earned their respect last year, no?

What did you see in the article to indicate that the coach plays Michigan this season?

Love it. This team plays physical and Michigan has gone soft. I would guess Dantonio said that. He knows a wounded animal when he sees one.

Exactly, I even took it to mean precisely the opposite. The coach plays The U but not Michigan and would rather play them.

I presumed from the quote that the implication was they played both Minnesota and Michigan this season. Could be wrong of course, but that was what I took from it at least. You could also be correct. Either way, it is certainly interesting to hear this type of thought as it pertains to both Minnesota and Michigan football.

This aside, any other guesses on the B1G coach who made the statement?

My first thought was Pelini and possibly Dantonio.

My guess would be Mark Dantonio based on interviews he's done recently.
He has been very complimentary to Coach Kill & his Staff and was extremely impressed with the challenge they presented them with last year.
May have been at BTN Media with Rece Davis or in studio with Chris Fowler but he mentioned that Minnesota was on a similar trajectory to MSU when he first started. I'll try and find the clip of it.

You guys are missing the obvious. Urban Meyer. Who else would want to rile the faithful in Ann Arbor more than the coach of their biggest rival. OSU plays both teams also.

What Big Ten team has trouble stopping the run?

I'll go with Ferentz. Could be Dantonio, but don't think it'd be anyone beyond that.
