Any chance Max could stay around next year to coach Drake?

I think Drake has all the physical talent in the world but still... he will only be a sophomore next year.

I think Max has all the mental talent in the world so... could he stay around for next year to keep Drake coached up? I know he might get drafted but that doesn't always work out for various reasons.

Call me crazy but I think Max will get drafted in round 5-7 and stick with an NFL team. First since Craig Curry back in the day. The guy reminds me of Brock Purdy.

I’m willing to be proven wrong but based on my amateur eye test I’m not sure he has the arm strength to throw downfield in the NFL. Seems like he will have a good shot as a UDFA though. I’m certainly rooting for him.

Best Gopher qb play since 2019 and probably about the same. Will at least get an invite but I could see him drafted. Kwesi sees alot of gopher games.

Yes your right but he does have a lot of traits that translate to the next level. Would be cool if he could become a journeyman backup

I wouldn't be shocked if Max finds his way onto an NFL roster next year as either a late round pick or UDFA. Backup QB in the NFL is an awesome gig if you can get it. Get paid a ton of money to never get hit.
Best job in pro sports. Carry a clipboard, wear a baseball cap on the sidelines, hang out with the guys, cash a nice check each month. Good gig.

I say we focus on finding some loophole that lets Max play another year or find the right NCAA rep to bribe.

Max might not have the strongest arm. He's just as accurate, goes through progressions better, and has a little better zip on deep throws than Tanner. Tanner spent a few days on the Vikings practice squad last year so I'm willing to bet Max will find a spot on some team's roster. It could be a while before any thought of coaching is in his plans.

I don't doubt it.

I do think the NFL puts too much emphasis on finding freak athletes and home run players ...

It's like they'll sacrifice everything else for the hope of a home run, and play calling and etc revolves around it.

We'll know more if he gets a combine invite or participates in any of the All-Star games. I don't watch the NFL religiously, but it seems the short passing game is all the rage and Brosmer appears to have a good handle on that aspect. Preceived arm strength is a question, but that's what made Purdy Mr. Irrelevant. Purdy is a unicorn and I'm not making any type of comparison other than questions of arm strength on the deep ball. And there's no way he's Aaron Rodgers in his wildest dreams, but there were questions on Rodgers' arm strength and mechanics when he was drafted.

It's always a crap shoot when it comes to assessing players and I'm sure you can find some scouts who love Brosmer and some who don't. If a team with draft capital that lines up with where their scouts have Brosmer slotted, he has a chance to get drafted or signed.

It seems like he should make a practice squad or roster somewhere. He's not going to be an NFL starter without major improvement or injury issues but if a guy or two ahead of him go down, he seems like he should be able to run an offense, make the throws he should make, and avoid catastrophic mistakes.

I could see Brosmer - IF he wants it - being a 3rd-string or backup QB for 10 years in the NFL.

He's smart, he reads defenses well, and he's accurate.

who would you rather have on the bench - a guy like Brosmer who doesn't turn the ball over, or somebody like Crazy Nick Mullens for the Vikings?

Even a couple of years of a backup QB's salary would be nice. some backups only make about $1-million, but there are backups who make $3- or $4-million. that pays for a lot of Med School.
