Is the administration at Binghamton under the influence of serious drugs? Pulling out of the conference tournament the week of the tournament? Why was this not done months ago? The timing of this sucks for everyone involved. ... the tournament host (city of Hartford), the competing schools, the coaches (who need to gameplan), the fans who bought tickets?

Some serious grandstanding by the eggheads at Binghamton. After this stunt, if I'm America East I tell Binghamton don't bother showing up for next year's tournament either, or 2012 for that matter. Can't let them get away with this.

Anxious to hear what Tony K has to say on PTI. Hopefully he is on today instead of dumb arse Lebaturd. Can the Bam.

You won't see TK on PTI this week... he's still suspended for comments he made on his radio show. A quick google news search will give you all the background you need.

I am surprised he didn't even mention this story on his radio show today. Maybe they'll get to it tomorrow.

I got a mailer from UHa offering a "special" alum price of about $350 for the 11 games of the AE tourny. Yuck. But the seeding will work out better this way as I believe the 8th and 9th seed normally play-in to the bracket, now they can skip it. I'm sure it will be riviting hoops when the mighty Seawolves go for the auto bid after winning their first ever regular season title.

So it was ok for them to play through the "distractions" and "controversy" all season but not for the postseason? What a slap in the face to all the coaches, players, and fans that played and cheered all year through this whole mess.

The school that has most reason to be pis*ed at Binghamton is Boston U. BU goes from being the #4 seed and playing #5 Binghamton on a neutral court to remaining the #4 seed but now having to play Hartford (the new #5) on its home court. And I know Hartford's coach wanted a matchup with Maine, so he's probably really hacked off as well.

As Vaporboy alluded to, the only winners I can see in all of this are the two worst teams, UMBC and Albany. Not that it's likely to happen (especially UMBC, they're horrible), but now with no play-in game they only have to win 3 games instead of 4.
