Good writeup, but Tubby does own not getting one good PG in three years of recruiting. The kid would not have had to be great, just competent and we are 9-9 and in the dance. Other than that I agree.
 

He did

Justin Cobbs - wanted to go back to California, but he would have been solid as a sophomore
Devoe Joseph - primarily a SG but competent at PG
Bryant Allen - fell into his lap but in his second year would have been competent (blame this loss on Brewster)
Maverick Ahanmisi - true freshman who wasn't going to be counted on this year to contribute. Really he was a last minute addition when Cobbs left.

It's not like Mav was the ONLY back-up plan if Nolen was injured.

Why is this on Brewster? I have no idea why Allen left - but he certainly could have helped some once Devoe quit and Nolen got injured.
 

How much impact did the Corey Joseph recruitment have on the recruiting other PG's last year.
 


this is easily the weakest freshman class in the last four years.

The only player remaining from the 2009 class is Rodney Williams. He's underperformed so far in his career. Williams probably has more upside than any player from the 2010 class, but to say this is easily the weakest class at this point is kinda ridiculous to me.

Technically the 2009 recruits were White (gone), Mbakwe (junior now), Cobbs (gone), and Williams (sophomore now).

I think Maurice Walker will have a much better Gopher career than Rodney.
