Another example why she's among the best in the college basketball writing business, along with Andy Katz and Mike DeCourcy.

Mizzou is an example of why we should still value conference and other championships. It's unfair that Mizzou and Frank Haith likely will be remembered more for their early exit than their 30 wins and Big 12 tourney championship, but in this day & age of all or nothing that's the way it is.

Reminds me of a t-shirt I saw in Indy being worn by a Michigan State fan. Paraphrasing, it said,

"It's All About the Trophies, Rings and Banners".

As a fan of a program that hangs around the bubble seemingly every season, it sure would be nice to earn a Big Ten title (regular season preferred but tournament title accepted) once in a blue moon or at least a Sweet 16 banner, something to add to our lonely Puerto Rico Tip-Off trophy of 2010-11.

How quickly you forgot the Black Coaches Assoc hardware from 2008 with the epic run through Bowling Green, Concordia (St Paul) & Georgia State.

That's right. I forgot about that epic round-robin "classic" at Williams Arena.
