Andy Katz: Brad Stevens is UCLA's top target

Butler coach Brad Stevens is the top target in UCLA's search for a basketball coach, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Stevens didn't confirm or deny he's talking to UCLA but reaffirmed his coaching status via text message.

"I'm the coach at Butler," Stevens wrote. "As you know, my stance is to not comment on any other speculation or situation."

I haven't seen him in LA, this is a smokescreen.

Since I haven't seen him in LA, that leads me to think he is somewhere other than LA. Minneapolis isn't in LA. . .WE GOT HIM!

Can't see Stevens leaving Butler especially for UCLA. He's an midwestern and Indiana guy and I think he will just end up with an extension from Butler rather than taking the UCLA job.
