He shot 7/10 from 3PT against Wake Forest as a freshman! That is Brandon Johnson territory.

Weird trajectory where he played a lot at the beginning of his freshman year, got 4 starts in midseason, then kinda got benched the last couple months of the season. Missed the next season altogether. Then 7 games this year.

He only took 12 shots at Maryland, and made 3 of them (all attempts were 3 pointers).

This guy is in the scratch and dent bin for sure with plenty of upside (kinda like Cade Tyson). Great take as a reserve guy who could provide some real 3PT shooting if he is able to get healthy.

Classic case of not wanting the best players, but the right players. I like this get. Every good team seems to have a shooter off the bench
In filling up these final spots it is definitely about finding guys that can fit specific roles.

If Chance can provide some quality minutes off the bench and drill some 3s he will be well worth the roster spot.

He has some range on that shot. His threes are deep. If he is healthy, a good shooter is always needed off the bench.

Still waiting for another inside big.
Geez, you’re going to die on this hill aren’t you? Today’s hoops, not so sure you need multiple 6’10” / 7 ‘ players to survive, even in the Big Ten.

As are you denying the need for inside presence, which they obviously can use. But I respect where you are coming from, just disagree.

How many 6'3" guys are now on the team? I think it's either three or four guys.

With guys that transfer in from smaller Conferences (or true Freshman), we know very little about how their game will translate at the Power 5 level. This creates doubt about the overall balance of our roster construction IMO.

Maybe the post players we added to the roster ultimately prove they can hold their own against the B1G level of physicality, defense and rebounding around the basket. At this point, we really don't know.

I'd certainly feel better adding another guy with legitimate post skills but not at the expense of NIL/roster space if there is a more talented guy available that primarily plays on the perimeter.
